Wedding Gown
For L.L. Barkat’s writing prompt at High Calling Blogs:
Wedding gown,
spotless linen bridal garments,
red sin-stains washed righteous-white,
cleansed white by Son’s red blood.
Replace my shabby garb.
Drape your beauty over me.
Dress me up, wedding-ready,
so I attract the Bridegroom’s gaze.

(By the way, I won’t be posting for a bit. Charles and I will be married fifteen years in August…but we’re celebrating early!)

May you enjoy each moment
with your groom
… and your Groom.
I’ll look forward to your return.
And Monica, I have to thank you AGAIN for your leadership here, in teaching us about “doodling” Scriptures. We’ve been talking about it in our Bible study on Thursday mornings. It has been an incredible tool for me. I appreciate you.

Beautiful picture this! I like this thought:
“Drape your beauty over me.
Dress me up, wedding-ready,
so I attract the Bridegroom’s gaze.”

Monica ~ Hi! I really like your stuff… read several things. Isn’t poetry fun? It’s one of my favorite things, reading and writing it. Thanks for coming over to my place.
Blessings
