Leather Bible Cover

Tanned, measured, cut clean.
Now smooth and ready, a blank slate.
Natural grain receives leathercrafter’s tools.
Beveled letters spell words of life.
Black laces stitch panels close
to secure and surround precious pages,
knowing they will be turned again and again.
Cross in the thorns invites me to open
and know the One it held
but holds no longer.

UPDATE:
The random number generator tells me that Casey is the Book Giveaway #1 recipient!
What sweet times of prayer I had, praying for those who left their thoughts, dreams, desires, struggles, and gratitude in the comment box. I pray for you still… Whether or not you use Through the Bible with My Child, I pray you and your families will know Him better.
(I also wanted to mention another family resource: Family Worship, by Don Whitney.)
Next Wednesday’s book giveaway:
Feeding Your Soul: A Quiet Time Handbook, by Jean Fleming. I hope to see you then!
